Phoenix House of Prayer

As the temple of God, we are called to make our own hearts and the world around us a dwelling place for God. We are committed to walking this out in a tangible way through a constant lifestyle of prayer and fasting. The model of a corporate house of prayer makes such a lifestyle possible.

Since 1999 we have been contending for a house of prayer to be established in Arizona in which constant prayer and worship is offered to God. In this, the church becomes the “house of prayer” being vessels to bring forth God’s will and kingdom in our own lives, the state, and the nation.

Phoenix House of Prayer: Live worship and prayer every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church. On Tuesdays we spend part of the time praying for the Church with the apostolic prayers from the Bible. Click here to view the handout with all the Apostolic Prayers. The second half of the time, we pray into one of our prayer mandates listed below.

Thursday Morning Prayer- This group prays specifically for needs of New Promise Church and its members, and the body of Christ as a whole. (This group does not meet over the Summer months.) Please contact Quyen Bentley for more details at quyenbentley@gmail.com .                              Send any prayer requests to phxhop@gmail.com.

Prayer Mandates:

Revival in America– For the “church” as a whole to wake up and become the “pure and spotless Bride” ready for the return of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:17) (Joel 2:28)

Culture of Life– The ending of abortion in Arizona and the nation and too see a shift in our nation for the sanctity of life from birth to natural death. (Psalm 139)

Israel– For Israel and all Jewish people to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 62:6-7)

Missions– Putting feet to our prayers by giving to those in need around us and abroad. (Acts 1:8) Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress. (James 1:27)

Governmental Intercession– Interceding “for kings and all those in authority” (1 Timothy 2:1-3) is a priority. We desire to see the transformation of our governments to reflect the Kingdom of God that is built on righteousness and justice

Generational Transfer – In the last days, the Lord promised to send the Spirit of Elijah who would “turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers” (Malachi 4:5-6). Thus, we are committed to the principle of generational transfer through fathering and discipleship of the younger generation.

Establishment of the House of Prayer – We are committed to establish a regional house of prayer in Arizona for his presence through worship and prayer.  Jesus said God’s house is a house of prayer for all nations.  (Mark 11:17)
